1. What size is your property?
Select the size that best represents your home. Whole-property guides assume most or all rendered elevations need cleaning. Select the amount of render requiring cleaning below for a more relevant estimate.
2. How dirty is your render?
Compare your walls with these genuine Clearstone cleaning projects to select the level of biological staining. The level of contamination helps explain where your project may sit within the estimated range.
3. How much of your property needs cleaning?
The amount of rendered surface is more important than the number of physical walls. Select how much of your property requires softwashing.

Watch Our Render Cleaning Team at Work
Satisfying softwash transformations and real before-and-after results from our team across Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire & Hampshire — gentle low-pressure cleaning that restores render without damage.
Exterior wall cleaning for every surface
Render, brick, natural stone and timber all behave differently. We match the cleaning method to the material — softwash, steam or low-pressure — so each surface is cleaned safely without damage.
Render Cleaning
K-Rend, Monocouche, acrylic & silicone render restored with low-pressure softwash — no blasting, no damage.
Brick Cleaning
Superheated DOFF steam lifts carbon, pollution and efflorescence from brickwork without harming mortar.
Natural Stone Cleaning
Gentle steam and softwash methods revive stonework and masonry facades stained by algae and carbon.
Timber & Cladding Cleaning
Softwash treatment safely removes algae and weathering from timber cladding and garden studios.
Not every surface is softwashed. We assess the material and condition first, then choose the right approach — protecting render, brick, stone and timber alike. We clean both residential and commercial properties across Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire and Hampshire.
Why the right cleaning method matters
Different surfaces need different techniques — and the wrong method can cause lasting damage.
The danger of pressure washing render
- ✗Blasts away the top protective substrate layer of K-Rend or Weber render.
- ✗Leaves biological root spores untouched inside the render pores, causing algae to return quickly.
- ✗Forces high pressure water into wall cavity insulation, leading to damp issues inside the home.
The Clearstone softwash advantage
- Applies low-pressure gentle biocidal solutions that safely break down red algae and lichen.
- Sanitizes render to the root level, ensuring biological growth stays gone for years.
- Restores original render colours back to pristine factory beauty without needing costly repainting.
Render systems we clean & restore
Tailored chemical and steam cleaning for all architectural surfaces.
K-Rend Render
Silicone textured render systems safely restored back to bright white, cream or pastel tones.
Monocouche Render
Through-coloured mineral renders sanitized from dark biological staining.
Acrylic & Silicone Render
Low surface-tension softwash cleaning to safely strip green film without micro-tears.
Traditional Painted Render
Gentle steam & chemical wash to clean surfaces prior to repainting or to avoid painting altogether.

What Our Customers Say

The Right Cleaning Method for Every Surface
We choose the cleaning method to suit the surface — not the other way around. Three specialist techniques, each protecting your property while delivering lasting results.
Pressure Washing
High-pressure water cuts through thick grime and organic growth on hard surfaces like driveways and patios. Fast and effective — but it removes growth rather than killing it at the root.
Steam Cleaning
Low pressure, high heat. Steam cleans powerfully while protecting delicate surfaces like roofs — using a fraction of the water and killing growth at over 130°C.
SoftWashing
Low-pressure biocidal treatment that kills algae, lichen and fungi at the spore — keeping render and delicate surfaces cleaner for up to six times longer, with far less water and no surface erosion.
When something unexpected happened, we stayed until it was right.
“I had Shaun and his team clean the rendering on my house and clean my patio. The house clean was fine but there was a problem with the patio sealer reacting to the steam clean. Shaun took full ownership of the problem that was compounded by the remedial chemicals being affected by the excessive heat this summer. Shaun kept us fully informed and when the weather cooled, he returned and fully resolved all the issues leaving us with a fully restored beautiful limestone patio. An excellent company, one you can trust.”
